Princeton Athletics in Partnership

The second installment of the PVC "Weapons of Mass Construction" project brought together over 130 members of the Princeton Athletics family to work together with Isles Inc. on the construction of a community garden and renovation of a historic urban mill.

The Princeton Varsity Club expanded its partnership with Isles Inc. this year by organizing the second "Weapons of Mass Construction" service project. This year the day of service included the continuation of the renovation to a deteriorating urban mill which is being transformed into a sustainable urban village; including a youth development institute and offices for nonprofit organizations. New this year was the construction of a quarter-acre community garden in downtown Trenton; aimed at providing fresh produce to its neighbors who are underserved as it relates to the availability of fresh and healthy food.

Isles Inc. is an award-winning nonprofit community development and environmental organization, founded by Marty Johnson '81 as a result of a project he completed at Princeton as an undergraduate.
