Princeton's Best in 2008

The Ivy League takes a closer look at the Tiger student-athletes who received the highest awards presented by the Department of Athletics at the 2008 PVC Senior Student-Athlete Awards Banquet.

Meagan Cowher and Diana Matheson shared the 2008 C. Otto von Kienbusch Award, the highest female student-athlete award at Princeton. The award is presented in memory of a member of the Class of 1906 to the senior woman of high scholastic rank who has demostrated ability in athletics and the qualities of a true sportswoman.

Mike Moore and David Nightingale shared the 2008 William Winston Roper Trophy, the highest male student-athlete award at Princeton. The award is presented by Mrs. William Winston Roper and the Class of 1902 in honor of Princeton's famed football coach, whose tenure produced an 89-28-16 record in 17 seasons. The award is presented to a Princeton senior of high scholastic rank, outstanding sportsmanship and general athletic ability.
