2010 PVC Fall Coaches Luncheon

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Princeton head coaches Bob Surace (Football), Kristen Holmes-Winn (Field Hockey), Luis Nicolao (Water Polo), and Pete Farrell (Women's Track & Field and Cross Country), along with several of their student-athletes, discuss their current seasons and their overall experiences as members of the Princeton Athletics community!

Join fellow Princetonians at the Class of '56 Lounge in Princeton Stadium for lunch at 12:00 PM. Each coach and their athletes will discuss their current team, the state of their program and their experiences with Princeton Athletics.

Bob Surace '90 is in his first year as the Charles W. Caldwell, Jr. '25 Head Coach of Football at Princeton. He comes to Princeton after spending nine years on the Cincinnatti Bengals coaching staff, and was a key member of the 1989 Ivy League Champion Princeton Football team as a first-team All-Ivy Center. Kristen Holmes-Winn is currently leading the Princeton Women's Field Hockey team through her 8th season as head coach. Her team has won two straight Ivy League championships, earned a final four berth last season, and has outscored its opponents 27-3 through five games in 2010. Her full bio can be found here.

Luis Nicolao has won more than 500 games over twelve-plus years as head coach of the Men's and Women's Water Polo teams. His 2009 Men's team earned its third-ever spot in the NCAA Tournament, and his 2009 Women's team won 20 games. He was the 2004 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Men's National Coach of the Year. You can learn more about Coach Nicolao here.

Pete Farrell has been the head coach of the women's track & field and cross country programs since 1978, leading the Tigers to 21 Ivy League Heptagonal titles and top-15 finishes at four of the last six NCAA Cross Country Championship meets. His Women's Cross Country team is currently ranked 9th in the country. Read more about Coach Farrell here.
