The Princeton Varsity Club Service Circle is an opportunity for any Princeton University student-athlete to bring their philanthropic ideas to life. This one-time grant application will be made available this year through April 15, 2013. Grants for Service Circle projects will be up to a maximum of $2,500.
The application will be reviewed by the PVC Service Circle committee for detailed proposals. The committee is looking for an idea that will involve and engage the entire Princeton University athletic community. A well organized proposal including what you would like to do, where you’d like to do it, an itemized budget and who will be the project lead manager is required with each application.
The more complete your proposal is, the more likely it will be chosen by the PVC Service Circle committee to provide a one-time grant to help fulfill the financial needs of the proposal. Motivation for the event will also be considered.
Minimum Application Requirements:
Q. If I receive a Service Circle Grant for the 2013-14 year, is it guaranteed that the event will receive PVC support the following year?
A. No. Service Circle projects must be applied for each calendar year. While we would encourage individuals to continue to apply for future years, there is no guarantee that an event would be selected again. Selection will depend upon the pool of applicants and the resources available for that calendar year.
Q. Can I apply for a Service Circle Grant without a lead manager?
A. No. All projects must have one lead manager, but can certainly have other leaders listed.
Q. Is it possible to receive more funding than the $2,500 noted above?
A. No. For the 2013-14 year, $2,500 will be the largest grant allotted, though not all grants will be of that value. Funding is dependent on the event proposals received by the PVC.
Q. How many Service Circle grants will be distributed for the 2013-14 year?
A. The committee is looking for a minimum of (2) Service Circle events for the inaugural year. Ideally, one event would be hosted during the fall semester and one would be hosted during the spring semester. If resources allow for an additional Service Circle event in 2013-14, the PVC will add a grant and event accordingly.
