The Princeton Womenβs Swimming & Diving program, in partnership with the Princeton Varsity Club, hosted its 10th annualΒ Collegians Find the Cure 5K Run/WalkΒ on Saturday, September 23rdΒ on the campus ofΒ Princeton University.Β As part of this year’s event,Β Princeton Women’s Swimming & DivingΒ raised over $5,500, bringing total fundraising to nearly $30,000 since the event’s inception in 2008. All of these proceeds direct benefit theΒ Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Numerous varsity athletic teams showed their support by participating in the 5K run/walk, including men/women’s fencing, men’s lacrosse, softball, women’s squash, men’s swimming & diving, women’s tennis, men/women’s volleyball,Β etc.Β To view pictures from this yearβs event, click here.
Breast Cancer is the most common form of cancer inΒ allΒ women, and has impacted many of our closest loved ones, friends and fellow Princetonians.Β All proceeds from the event directly benefited the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and help to combat this powerful disease. Many participants also showed their support in the fight for Breast Cancer by running or walking the 5k course around Princeton University.
