The Mills’ Sports, Race and Society Lecture Series is excited to feature Dr. Myron Rolle on campus on Thursday, October 8th. A graduate of the nearby Hun School of Princeton, Dr. Rolle currently serves as a Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Nemours Children’s Hospital. He is a Rhodes Scholar, bestselling author, former All-American football player at Florida State, and former NFL player for the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Dr. Rolle will join Ford Family Director of Athletics John Mack ’00 in conversation to discuss his career journey and ability to balance and achieve his goals as both a high-level athlete and aspiring neurosurgeon, as well as the many ways he continues to positively impact both his medical and local communities.
The lecture, co-sponsored by the Center for African American Studies and Department of Athletics and in partnership with the Princeton Black Pre-Medical Society, will be hosted in McCosh Hall, Room 10 starting at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the entire Princeton community and general public. Please RSVP below.
The Sports, Race and Society Lecture, made possible by the Stephen C. Mills ’81 Fund, aims to bring accomplished speakers to campus to explore the implications and possibilities of uniting sport with the American experiment, the obligation that executives in the governance of sport ought to fulfill to athletes and communities, and the impact of athletes as citizens and influential community members.
PLEASE NOTE: the lecture will not be livestreamed, but we intend to share highlights following.

About the Speaker:

He has been recognized by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons for demonstrating the best operative technique in the reconstruction of upper extremity motor function using intercostal nerve transfers after a traumatic brachial plexus injury.
In his hometown of Orlando, Florida, Dr. Rolle serves on the Board of Directors for Aspire Health Partners – the leading mental health organization in central Florida. He runs voter registration drives for college students at the University of Central Florida. He runs food drives for immigrant families suffering from economic hardship and food insecurity. Tiger Athletics Give Day (TAGD), Princeton Athletics’ 24-hour giving challenge, returns on Tuesday, December 1, 2026 (National Giving Tuesday). Now in its 13th year, TAGD has helped Princeton Athletics raise nearly $42 million across 86,000+ total gifts, directly benefiting Princeton student-athletes and providing for a transformative undergraduate experience.
Each of the 18 Athletics Friends Groups will compete for total donors and total dollars by bracket on TAGD, while working to “Level Up” and beat their most recent 5-year dollars raised average. Additionally, the Princeton Varsity Club (PVC) will be working to secure 10+ new PVC Lifetime Members – click here to read more about the PVC Lifetime Membership program and its impact on Princeton Athletics. (Note: honorary Lifetime Membership gifts are accepted, the donor receives the gift credit while the honorary individual receives all Lifetime Member benefits).

At stake again this year will be approximately $200,000 of Bonus Funds generously provided by the Princeton Varsity Club Board of Directors. Over the past 12 years of TAGD, the PVC Board has contributed over $2.4 million in bonus funds that have benefited our varsity Athletics Friends Groups.
Princetonians can support their respective Athletics Friends Group and/or the PVC by making a gift online at TAGD.Princeton.edu or calling 609-986-TAGD (8243) on December 1st. Any gift of $20 or more will count in the respective donor leaderboards, while gifts of any amount will count in the Total Dollars Raised and Level Up competitions as detailed on the TAGD website.
We encourage Tigers everywhere to watch the live leaderboards throughout the day and follow the competition on social media.
