The Princeton Varsity Club hosted its Fall Coaches Luncheon on Tuesday, October 10th. The first installment of a three-part luncheon series each year, the event featured four head coaches and four student-athletes from this fall sports season.
Ford Family Director of Athletics, John Mack ’00 welcomed PVC members, campus colleagues, and other members of the Princeton Athletics community before introducing each of the fall programs. Head coaches from Princeton women’s soccer, football, women’s volleyball, and men’s water polo each spoke to the leadership among their teams and the expectations that they have for this season.
Following the remarks given by each coach, a group of senior captains representing each team addressed the crowd through a panel discussion. The athletes reflected on some of their favorite Princeton memories, highlighting some of their athletic and academic achievements. They also shared the ways in which being a Princeton student-athlete has helped them to grow through the rigorous challenges that they face both in the classroom and on their field of play. Being a Princeton student-athlete is a life-changing experience that each athlete shared their gratitude for as they thanked PVC donors for their continued support.
