Making an IMPACT: Tiger Teams Host Awareness Night for Team IMPACT Families

Princeton Athletics is proud to team up with Team IMPACT, an organization that pairs children with serious illnesses and disabilities with college athletic programs across the country. In just one year of this growing partnership, Tiger teams have adopted six children from the program, with additional teams still waiting to find their perfect match.

During the February 16th basketball game against Brown, athletes from the men’s basketball, men’s golf, men’s lacrosse, softball, and men’s & women’s swim and dive programs hosted a special awareness night to bring attention to these life-changing partnerships.

Men’s basketball showed their support for Jacob, a little boy that they matched with this fall, by wearing Team IMPACT t-shirts during their warmups. The other athletes and teams also provided a special gameday experience, treating all six children and their families to a pregame pizza party, player high five tunnel, halftime ice cream social, and a big Tiger victory over Brown.
