The PVC and Varsity Athletics Friends Groups Come Together for a Record-Setting TAGD

The Princeton Athletics community came together to Roar Forward in support of its varsity student-athletes and teams as part of the 8th annual Tiger Athletics Give Day (#TAGD), held Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Throughout the 24-hour initiative, the Athletics Friends Groups engaged in friendly competitions, competing for central bonus funds in the categories of Total Donors and Total Dollars. The support and enthusiasm of more than 6,600 donors – a 10% increase from last year’s TAGD – helped the campaign total a record-setting $3.74 million while achieving the department’s Roaring Together goal of 6,000 collective donors.

In addition to these Athletics Friends Group competitions, the Princeton Varsity Club once again held its Lifetime Membership Challenge, aiming to secure 10+ new PVC Lifetime Members on TAGD. Thanks to the generous support of a number of Princetonians, the PVC successfully converted 16 new Lifetime Members on the day, earning $10,000 of Bonus Funds in the process. The PVC Lifetime Membership program now stands at 335 members strong since its inception in 2010, having contributed more than $1.6 million in support of the PVC and its mission – to learn more about becoming a PVC Lifetime Member and the benefits of this program, click here.

The PVC and the entire Princeton Department of Athletics thank all of the alumni, family and friends who engaged in the day and demonstrated their support in so many meaningful ways. Additionally, we remain incredibly grateful for the Princeton Varsity Club Board of Directors, who once again joined together to contribute more than $200,000 in bonus funds (now more than $1.5 million through eight years of TAGD) to help drive this impactful initiative. Every gift makes a direct impact and we are grateful for the continued commitment of so many to Princeton Athletics and our mission of Education Through Athletics.
