2025-26 marked another historic year for Princeton Athletics. A record 20 varsity teams captured conference championships this past academic year, the most for any school in Ivy League history. Princeton has achieved 16 or more team titles in four of the past five years, which was previously the long-standing high-water mark set by the Tigers back in 1999-00.
Princeton teams have won an astounding 70 conference titles over the past four years, representing the most decorated run in league history, and likely the top conference-level performance of any Division I school ever. Thirty (of 38) different Princeton programs have hoisted a trophy during this four-year period, speaking to department’s mission of broad -based competitive excellence.
Additionally, Princeton teams captured eight Ivy League Tournament titles in 2025-26. The winner of these four-team postseason tournaments earns the league’s automatic bid to NCAAs.
On the national scene, Princeton ranked No. 20 in all of Division I in the Learfield Director’s Cup, which measures department-wide NCAA postseason success. This is the Tigers second highest finish in the 31 years of the Directors’ Cup, and once again placed Princeton as the top ranked non-Power Conference school. Additionally, Princeton has led the Ivy League in 28 of the 31 years. Click here to read more about the Tiger’s Directors’ Cup finish.
