Princeton Celebrates Life and Legacy of Pete Carril

There truly was a celebration of life for Hall of Fame head coach Pete Carril in the court that bears his name as hundreds of friends, family and fans of our Coach convened at Pete Carril Court in Jadwin Gym on Friday, September 30th to share memories, laughter and adoration for a man who impacted so many lives.

A spotlight shone down on his familiar signature, and a replica banner commemorating his career highlights framed a stage where those who knew him best shared the ways Coach Carril changed their life’s trajectory in ways that carry on to this day.

Speakers included former players and friends Rev. Dr. Chris Thomforde ’69, Geoff Petrie ’70 and John Rogers ’80 as well as Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber ’80, former player and current head coach Mitch Henderson ’98 and Pete’s daughter, Lisa.
