PVC on the Road Highlights: Tigers Tackle San Diego

The Princeton Varsity Club hit the road this fall for its first PVC on the Road event of this new academic year. Partnering with the Princeton Football Association (PFA) and the Princeton Club of San Diego, the PVC hosted a series of events to celebrate Princeton Football’s return to San Diego.

On Friday, September 15th, nearly 200 Princeton alumni, PVC members, and members of the Princeton Athletics community gathered for a special evening reception before the season opener. The event hosted at the Lodge at Torrey Pines reconnected generations of Princeton alumni for a fun evening celebrating the Princeton Football program. Ford Family Director of Athletics John Mack ’00, Charles W. Caldwell Jr. ’25 Head Coach of Football Bob Surace ’90, and PFA President Steve Simcox ’83 P19 each addressed the attendees and spoke to the power of the Princeton Athletics community, as well as the transformational student-athlete experience provided by Princeton Athletics.

The following day, the PVC hosted an additional on the road tailgate bringing 450 Tiger fans together to watch Princeton Football play at the University of San Diego. The Tigers went on to collect their first win of the 2023 season, defeating the Toreros 23-12.
