PVC on the Road: Tigers Tackle San Diego

The Princeton Varsity Club (PVC), Princeton Football Association (PFA) and Princeton Alumni Engagement invite you to join them on the road when the Tigers kickoff the 2023 football season at the University of San Diego. Weekend festivities will include two featured events for fans to show their support and cheer on the Tigers.

A special evening reception will be held on Friday, September 15th to celebrate the Tigers coming to San Diego. The event will be held at The Lodge at Torrey Pines from 6:30-8:30pm PT and include light Hors d’oeuvres, food, and drink. Ford Family Director of Athletics John Mack ’00, Charles W. Caldwell Jr. ’25 Head Coach of Football Bob Surace ’90, and PFA President Steve Simcox ’83 P19 will also be on hand to provide brief remarks and share their excitement for the upcoming season. The reception is $75 per guest with discounted pricing available for young alumni (class of 2019-23).

The PVC, PFA, and Princeton Club of San Diego will host an additional pre-game tailgate near USD’s Jenny Craig Pavilion on Saturday, September 16th (see event map). Fans are encouraged to come enjoy tailgate food and drink with other Princeton supporters from 11:00am-1:00pm PT before the Tigers take on the San Diego Toreros. The tailgate is $25 per guest with discounted pricing for young alumni (class of 2019-23) and children.

Parking for the pre-game tailgate will be located near Torero stadium. Fans are encouraged to park in the Main Parking Structure (see event map) which is just a short walk to the Princeton tailgate area. On-site parking will be available in this area free of charge on a first-come basis.

Game tickets for the 1:00pm PT match-up between Princeton and San Diego are available for purchase through the University of San Diego Athletic Ticket Office at 619-260-7550 or online here. The sections behind the visitor’s team bench are General Admission and $10 for adults, $5 for youth (ages 4-17).
