First-year Tigers from the Class of 2028 were recently welcomed to the Princeton Athletics family during the PVC’s annual Student-Athlete Welcome Barbecue.
More than 300 Tigers including the first-year student-athletes and team captains enjoyed a fun evening full of food, music, and games. Ford Family Director of Athletics, John Mack ’00 welcomed the new Tigers to campus as he shared personal stories from his time in a Princeton uniform and offered words of encouragement to the athletes as they begin their transformative journey here at Princeton. Associate Director of Athletics for the PVC, Brendan Van Ackeren also welcomed the student-athletes to their first PVC event and highlighted the many programs that the PVC offers to enhance their experience both during their time at Princeton and beyond. The event then concluded with a team photo station, friendly competition over lawn games, and an ice cream buffet for everyone in attendance.
