PVC Welcomes Class of 2029 with Annual Barbecue

The Princeton Varsity Club is proud to welcome its newest Tigers into the Princeton Athletics family. Keeping with tradition, student-athletes from the Great Class of 2029 were recently celebrated and formally welcomed to Princeton with the PVC Barbecue. The event included good food and good company as the group was joined by their coaches, team captains, and select athletics staff for a fun evening in Jadwin Gym.

Ford Family Director of Athletics, John Mack ’00 greeted the Tigers with an opening message and introduced them to the many student-athlete communities and resources available to help shape their Princeton student-athlete experience. These resources included many programs offered by the PVC, which Associate Director of Athletics, Brendan Van Ackeren highlighted as well. During the opening portion, student-athletes learned how the PVC can play an important role in their athletics journey and foster a community that will last long after their four years at Princeton.

The evening also featured a delicious barbecue dinner, limited edition PVC t-shirts, and a fun variety of lawn games and mini-golf. Click here to view a full photo gallery from this year’s event.
