As part of our celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Women’s Athletics at Princeton, Princeton Athletics and the PVC recently hosted two virtual speaker series events featuring a number of our incredible Tiger alumnae leaders.
INVESTING IN WOMEN’S ATHLETICS
Our most recent installment of the Jake McCandless ’51 PVC Speaker Series featured NWSL franchise co-founders and owners Angie Knighton Long ’97 S97 (rugby) and Kara Nortman ’97 (open rowing) in conversation around investing in women’s athletics. Moderated by Ford Family Director of Athletics, Mollie Marcoux Samaan ’91, the group discussed what led them to venture into professional sports ownership, how they’re organizations are working to impact the local community, and the importance of providing athletic opportunities for women.
