The Princeton Varsity Club proudly supports meaningful service opportunities for Tiger student-athletes. Throughout this fall semester the Tigers spent time giving back to the Princeton community – reading to local classrooms, sharing their love for youth sports, and mentoring elementary students. Below are some photos that highlight each of these experiences and the volunteer efforts of Princeton student-athletes this fall.
READING WITH THE TIGERS
Reading with the Tigers will visit 60+ classrooms across five elementary schools this fall, bringing together more than 100 student-athletes to participate in the program. In October, students at Crosby Copeland Elementary School in Trenton received a special surprise when the Tigers hosted a fun Halloween reading. Student-athletes celebrated the occasion with silly costumes and spooky children’s books. Click here to view more photos from the fall readings.

PVC YOUTH SPORTS CLINIC
The PVC also hosted its annual Youth Sports Clinic in late September as a part of Future Tigers Day and the Princeton football home opener. Student-athletes representing 15+ varsity teams attended the clinic, teaching sports like lacrosse, football, volleyball, basketball, and hockey among others. Nearly 300 children joined the fun too, spending time with the Tigers while playing games and learning new sports together. Check out all the fun from this year’s clinic in this highlight video and photo gallery.

TIGER PALS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Princeton student-athletes have reunited with their Tiger Pals this fall to continue their mentorship with younger elementary school students. The program, which has paired athletes with a group of 20 pre-selected students, kicked off with a variety of back-to-school visits and a “Pal-o-ween Celebration” where athletes dressed in their costumes to join the school’s Halloween Parade. Groups will continue their visits throughout the year, to help the students with their schoolwork and serve as positive role models. Thank you to all of our PVC members who continue to provide Princeton student-athletes with opportunities to Achieve, Serve, and Lead through these community programs!
