PVC on the Road: Fall Highlights

The Princeton Varsity Club hit the road this fall, traveling far and wide to host events for athletics alumni, fans, and supporters.

On Saturday, October 12th more than 300 Tiger fans convened in Macon, Ga. before the Princeton Football match-up with Mercer University. The PVC and Princeton Football Association (PFA) organized a “Tigers Tackle Mercer” pre-game tailgate that reunited alumni spanning decades of Princeton Football. The tailgate presented a fun atmosphere for fans to gather before the game where they enjoyed live music and a variety of food and drink (photo gallery).

To celebrate the Princeton Football vs. Harvard rivalry the PVC also traveled to Cambridge. The PVC, Alumni Engagement, and the Princeton Association of New England (PANE) hosted a pre-game reception in Harvard Square bringing together Tiger fans of all ages. The Orange & Black takeover rallied more than 250 alumni, parents, and fans who filled the stands at Harvard Stadium to cheer for the Tigers (photo gallery).

Princeton Athletics visited Northern California for a small gathering and reception with some of its Bay Area Tigers. Ford Family Director of Athletics John Mack ’00 was joined in conversation by head coaches Dusty Litvak (men’s water polo) and Erika DeSanty (women’s golf), who shared updates on Princeton Athletics. Thank you to event host Marnie Marcin ’96 and PVC Board Co-Chair Kristen Garlinghouse ’89, who both shared remarks with the Princetonians in attendance.

The PVC will host its Fall Gameday Reception on Saturday, November 2nd as a part of Homecoming Weekend. PVC members who have renewed their membership for the 2024-25 year invited are invited to RSVP here and join us on campus for Homecoming.
