Tiger Alumnae Showcased at Ford’s “Power Her Drive” Event

This May, the PVC and Princeton Athletics teamed up with corporate partner Ford Motor Company as part of the LPGA’s inaugural “Power Her Drive” mentorship program, helping to invest in young tour professionals off the course. The Power Her Drive program is a year-round mentorship initiative launched by Ford in partnership with the LPGA that supports rookies and second-year players with networking, career coaching, and off-course professional development opportunities at select tour events throughout the year.

Joined by program ambassador Michelle Wie West and Ford Social Media Lead Jessica Muir, five Princeton alumnae – including Rebecca Haarlow ’01 (track & field), Kelly Shon ’14 (golf), Jackie Reyneke ’17 (basketball), Ann Rodriguez ’99 (lacrosse) and Maya Walton ’20 (golf) – came together to engage around the “Power of Networking” with the cohort of LPGA golfers as part of the Mizuho Americas Open in West Caldwell, N.J.

The Tiger alumnae participated in a feature panel conversation moderated by ESPN’s Laura Rutledge, where each shared advice on professional networking and pursuing one’s purpose and passion beyond sport. They also engaged in one-on-one breakout sessions with each of the golfers to further develop relationships and provide personal mentorship and general professional insights. This session helped complement the programming themes from the other Power Her Drive stops, which focused on cultivating one’s personal brand, establishing brand relations and community support.
